Requirements for Glass Material Processing

Mipox contract polishing offers surface and edge polishing services for various glass materials and glass components, ranging from reconditioning of support glass used in semiconductor manufacturing to polishing optical components for low-light imaging equipment and other specialized applications. In particular, surface roughness improvement for bonding processes (creation of ultra-high precision surface roughness) is one of the applications that has been gaining attention with increasing inquiries in recent years. For edge polishing applications, we primarily focus on projects aimed at improving the strength and yield of thin glass plates used in smartphones and hard disk drives. We flexibly accommodate process transfers and other requirements in combination with dedicated edge polishing equipment.
